BMC Extends IT Management Reach

Video Tour: Google Data Center in South Carolina

Providing a rare look inside its data center operations, Google recently posted a video describing its data center in Berkeley County, South Carolina, including descriptions of the facility’s cooling system and security measures.

The company announced it would build the South Carolina data center in 2007. Including an expansion project in 2013, Google’s total investment in the site amounts to $1.2 billion.

SingleHop Opens Chicago Data Center

Hosted private cloud and managed hosting provider SingleHop has launched its largest data center to date in a ten-year $30 million investment with Digital Realty Trust in the Chicago area. The new 13,000 square foot white space has capacity for up to 20,000 servers and is adjacent to expansion space for another 10,000 square feet.
